The »earisMAX« Bluetooth® Auracast™ transmitter is designed to connect audio sources that do not have a Bluetooth® transmission function to Bluetooth®-enabled receivers (pairing with corresponding headphones or hearing aids).

To this end, the device integrates all current standard ports for connecting corresponding audio sources:

• Toslink input and output (looped through / passthrough)(digital),
• analogue input and output (looped through / passthrough),
• HDMI for connection to the audio return channel (ARC)(digital) of TV sets
• and microphone input for the integration of older TV models in order to be able to pick up their audio signals acoustically.

Connection variants

TV sets that are connected to a soundbar via Toslink: The »earisMAX« Bluetooth® Auracast™ transmitter is connected to the Toslink output of the TV set. The soundbar to the Toslink output of the »earisMAX« Bluetooth® Auracast™ transmitter. This means that both components, transmitter and soundbar, are permanently available in parallel and the TV sound can also be heard via the Bluetooth® receiver.

The same principle applies to the assignment of the audio connection as a link between the TV set and a soundbar.

Selection of the transmission options on the front of the »earisMAX« Bluetooth® Auracast™ transmitter:

• Bluetooth® Classic (Bluetooth®-enabled hearing components, such as headphones or hearing aids: single-channel, pairing with only one receiver possible)
• Bluetooth® LE audio (two-channel, left and right, pairing with only one receiver possible)
• Bluetooth® Auracast™ (unlimited number of receivers possible)

Power supply for the »earisMAX« Bluetooth® Auracast™ transmitter

Power is supplied via the USB-C port of the connected device (use the USB port of the audio source if necessary). The Bluetooth® modes previously set on the transmitter are retained / saved in the device. Please note that no USB power supply unit is included in the scope of delivery. If required, the USB power supply unit A-5262-0 can be ordered, but most user households are likely to already have one - e.g. as a charger for a smartphone.

Auracast™ streams with password-protected access

Using the PC tool available for download on this page (Windows only), the Auracast stream generated can be encrypted with a password if required. The tool can also be used to set the transmission bit rate (24 / 48 bit) and, if necessary, to update the transmitter operating system.
