AMX MUSE - Episode 3 - How AMX MUSE helps to deliver complex projects, faster

In this video, AV programmer David Vine shares his personal insights with Graham Barrett from HARMAN Professional on how AMX MUSE supports rapid deployment of complex projects.

He shares his experience on a number of key features of MUSE save time and therefore money in deployment. Specifically he discusses:

  • how removing the need to compile, send and reboot code saves substantial time and expense in the iterative process of programming development.

  • how non-programmers can program AV systems using the rapid development program Node Red.

  • the substantial time savings offered by by using the pre-developed Nodes available in libraries for both simple and advanced programming tasks

AMX MUSE accelerates the delivery of complex projects by combining a modern, modular control architecture with flexible development tools. Its Linux-based platform supports multiple programming languages—including JavaScript, Python, and Groovy—allowing developers to use familiar coding environments, which reduces onboarding time and enhances productivity.

MUSE decouples software from hardware, enabling control logic to be developed, tested, and deployed independently of physical controllers—ideal for parallel development across large teams or phased installations. With containerised deployment and virtualisation capabilities, MUSE allows rapid scaling, centralised updates, and simplified maintenance. These efficiencies dramatically reduce integration timeframes for large, multi-site, or custom-configured AV projects.
