AMX's MUSE automation platform introduces a transformative approach to AV control system design, prioritising flexibility and developer accessibility. MUSE departs from traditional control systems by accommodating the most popular programming languages and development environments. This inclusivity allows developers to work within their preferred frameworks, fostering creativity and efficiency.
A standout feature of MUSE is its support for multiple programming languages, including JavaScript, Python, and Groovy. They can all run simultaneously and independently and can communicate between themselves. They can also all be tested, debugged, started, and stopped independently. This versatility enables developers to select the language that best aligns with their expertise and project requirements.
AMX MUSE also integrates with Node-RED, a low-code programming tool that simplifies the orchestration of complex AV workflows, enabling rapid prototyping and intuitive system logic development—ideal for both seasoned developers and those newer to AV control programming. Also available is AMX MUSE Automator - an easy to install, customised version of the flow-based programming tool, Node-RED
Additionally, MUSE is compatible with standard development tools such as Visual Studio Code, streamlining the development process and reducing the learning curve associated with proprietary software. MUSE Extension for VS Code allows all of the controllers and devices to show up automatically, so that they can be discovered, configured and code can be loaded easily from within Microsoft Visual Studio Code.
